The mixing of the Regimental punch is a time honored tradition, the specific ingredients representing the many battles and campaigns of the 2d Dragoons. The punch is begun by pouring one half bottle of champagne and red wine over dry ice, to commemorate the Regiments baptism in battle during the Seminole Indian wars of 1836 Florida.
