Re-equipped as a mechanized Cavalry unit, the 2nd Cavalry Group, Mechanized, would soon earn the title of &quot;The Ghosts of Patton's Third Army&quot; from the Germans for their ability to mysteriously appear behind the enemy lines.&lt;br /&gt;
